Saleama A. Ruvalcaba, MATS

Director

Saleama A. Ruvalcaba is the director of Gifted Athletes Homeschool P.E. She oversees all operations of Gifted Athletes including, administrative support, marketing, social media, leadership direction, and research of sport fundamentals. In addition, Saleama is the primary class instructor.

Saleama is the director of Proverbs 22:6 Innovative Homeschoolers, a local homeschool organizations in Memphis, TN. Saleama has a BS in Church Ministries and a MA in Theological Studies. Saleama is a writer for her homeschool blog, Homeschool Memphis and her second blog, Lead me the Way.

Omar Ruvalcaba

Omar Ruvalcaba

Director of Curriculum Development

Omar Ruvalcaba has been teaching youth sports for over 20 years. Omar served as Gifted Athletes primary teacher for seven years. He has transitioned to our director of curriculum development. He is a certified group instructor and spends extensive time researching youth sports. Omar is the assistant athletic director and offensive coordinator for varsity football at Harding Academy in Memphis, TN and head basketball coach for 14U girls for MHEA (Memphis-Area Home Education.)

Coach Ru has coached football at Maranatha High School in Pasadena, Ca. In Memphis, TN, The Nighthawks Homeschool League, Cordova High School, and Evangelical Christian School.

Omar is the executive director of Proverbs 22:6 Homeschoolers, and former athletic director, (non basketball related sports) for MHEA, (Memphis Homeschool Area Association).

Omar has a BS in Church Ministries and working on his Master’s of Theology at Mid-America Baptist Theological College and Seminary.

Jaden Ruvalcaba

Assistant Class Teacher

Jaden is a senior homeschooler and is excited to join Gifted Athletes’ staff as an assistant teacher. Jaden loves to listen to music and jog. Jaden loves to watch NASCAR and football. He has a superb visual memory and can remember exact sports scores from various sports. He also loves transportation and enjoys visiting airports in new cities. He speaks French and Chinese and also works part-time at Chick-fil-A.

Gabrielle Ruvalcaba

Assistant Class Teacher

Gabi is a junior homeschooler and is excited to join Gifted Athletes’ staff as an assistant teacher. Gabi is an avid baker with a desire to attend culinary school. Gabi plays JV and Varsity basketball for MHEA. She loves to draw and perform in her church Gospel productions.

Sophia Ruvalcaba

Class Administrator

Sophia is an eight grade homeschooler and is excited to join Gifted Athletes staff as our class administrator. Sophia loves to draw and sew. She plays middle school basketball for MHEA. She loves to read and write and would one day like be a filmmaker.
