Strength and Conditioning Class

Days:

Tuesday’s @ First Evangelical Church (735 Ridge Lake, Memphis) 4:30 – 5:30p.m.

Saturday’s @ Bert Ferguson Park (in Cordova) 9:00 – 10:00a.m.

Students can attend class twice a week or once a week. The price is the same.

What is strength and conditioning?

Strength and conditioning is the practical application of sports to enhance movement quality. The purpose of strength and conditioning is the help students have better quality movement which is needed in all sports – and in life. In addition, proper strength and conditioning can prevent injury, improves posture, health, weight, muscle mass and metabolism.

In almost all traditional school settings, strength and conditioning is mandatory for team sports as it improves the overall success of an athletic team. Partner with your homeschooler by helping him or her go the the extra mile in their athletic endeavors.

What will students work on?

Each class students will work on a variety of agility workouts for lower and upper body strength, speed and power – such as sit ups, mountain climbs, ladder drills, running, core muscle workouts…etc.

How does this class differ from our regular PE classes?

Our homeschool PE classes incorporates both agility and conditioning plus basic sport fundamentals such a tennis, basketball, baseball…etc. This class is strictly a strength and conditioning class and will not focus on specifics sports.

Price: $50 per month per student. (No refunds)

An invoice will be sent after we receive your registration. Invoices will be due upon receipt prior to student participating in class.
